Last week I had the pleasure to photograph Brilliant Earth’s new jewelry campaign. If you don’t yet know the jeweler, Brilliant Earth, it’s worth your while to do so.
Brilliant Earth carefully tracks all of their diamonds from mine to market to ensure they are mined, cut, and polished with socially and environmentally responsible practices. While the majority of diamonds verified to be responsibly harvested originate from Canada, they are beginning to source ethical origin African diamonds from Namibia. These diamonds are also carefully tracked to be socially and environmentally conscious.
We worked with the new face of Brilliant Earth, model Kyla Moran, who is stunning in a fresh, organic way. She intuitively understood how to work with the jewelry, and brought a lot of energy to the shoot. Make-up artist, Melisa Hall, of Elegance Makeup, worked her magic by giving Kyla a look that was polished yet relaxed. She also is able to give brides a perfect look, so she is definitely my preferred make-up artist for the Bay Area. Stylist Joy Coakley created the perfect settings for the gems to reflect their natural essence.Take a look behind the scenes!
